Use Your IPod nano as an alarm Clock
Well i finally binned my old, annoying alarm clock now that i have my new iPod nano! If you don't already
know you can use your new iPod as an alarm clock, heres how;
Firstly select "extras" in the main menu, now once in "extras" you should then select "clock", once in
"clock" menu, select "alarm clock". So you are now in the "alarm clock" settings, firstly make sure you
toggle the alarm clock to "on". Now choose "time" and set when you want the iPod alarm to sound. Then
go into "repeat" and decide if the alarm should sound once, daily, weekdays, weekends etc.. this is a
good feature for me due to my old alarm clock always going off at 7.00 am on a saturday when i was
trying to have a lie in!!! Now it automatically shuts off of a weekend.
.
All you have do now is decide on the sound, will you set it to a beep or a playlist. Beep uses the iPods
external speaker, and playlist send the sound through an external speaker (best!) or through the
headphones, your alarm clock is now ready to wake you up!
Fall asleep to music
Do you like falling asleep to music but don't want the iPod playing all night? Well you can set your nano
to play for a certain amount of time (say 60 minutes) while you fall asleep listening to your favourite
tracks then turn itself off. This option is also in the "extras" menu, simply select "sleep timer" and set it
for how long you want the iPod to play for while you fall asleep. This feature is best with external
speakers as you don't want to strangle yourself in your sleep with your earphones on!
My iPod is frozen, what do i do?
Firstly make sure your iPod is fully charged, once fully charged toggle the "hold" switch to the "on"
position then to the "off" position, now hold the "menu" and "select" buttons down at the same time for
around 6 - 8 seconds until the apple logo appears on screen. You may need to repeat this method to get
it to work but in most cases it will unfreeze your iPod
